Owner and Director - Jessica Latham

 

Jess relocated to Hedland in 2010 when her parents purchased a local courier business. Since relocating Jess has met her husband and is now raising 3 young daughters whilst directing Hedland School of Dance alongside her sister, Emma.


Jess started dancing at the age of 5 in Perth. Over the years Jess has studied Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Cheerleading.


Jess has her Certificate IV in Dance Teaching & Management and holds an affiliate membership with the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing (CSTD) , The Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD) and has completed her Progressing Ballet Technique teacher certification. With over a decade of teaching experience under her belt, Jess enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge with students of all ages.

 

 

Owner and Director - Emma Jardine

 

Emma started dancing at the age of 7 in Perth, after watching a friend take dance class. During this time Emma has studied Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Hip Hop and Ballet. Throughout the years she has participated in numerous dance competitions, TV events and live shows around Perth. With over a decade of experience in teaching children to dance, she enjoys watching children blossom with confidence and develop their potential.

 

Miss Emma is Acrobatic Arts accredited and Hedland School of Dance was the first school in the Pilbara to be certified for the internationally recognised Acrobatic Arts curriculum. Miss Emma also holds her Progressing Ballet Technique teacher certification.
 

 

 

Teacher- Georgie Rose

 

Georgie started dancing at the age of 4 in Geraldton. She studied Jazz, Tap, Acrobatcs and Slow Modern, competing in competitions throughout regional Western Australia. After a 10 year hiatus (apart from some sweet moves on various dance floors late at night) Georgie returned to dancing in 2015 at Hedland School of Dance.

 

Working internationally as a nanny, Georgie is very enthusiastic and loves to inspire children to try the best that they can. She believes that dance is a great way for children to stay active, practice time management, commitment and build lifelong friendships.

Teacher- Bec Neech

 

Rebecca comes to us with a wealth of knowledge in many facets of performing arts. Rebecca has an advanced diploma in Dance and in Musical Theatre and has been trained in the RAD syllabus as well as the ISTD syllabus. She has worked for many companies in many roles including dance teacher, stage manager, contemporary specialist, competition choreographer and professional performer.

 

Many of her students have gone on the have successful careers in the performing arts in many roles from teachers to the cast of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Sound of Music just to name a few. Miss Bec can not wait to work with all the students at Hedland School of Dance.
